Temple Israel of Great Neck, located at 108 Old Mill Rd., will be hosting a Yom Kippur Yizkor (Memorial) Service at 3 p.m. to remember departed loved ones. The remembrance service is open to the public and tickets are not required. The temple’s parking lot will be closed, except for vehicles with handicap identification. On-street parking will be available and parking regulations must be observed. For more information, call 516-482-7800.

Temple Israel of Great Neck welcomes the community to celebrate Hanukkah at two events. At 12:30 p.m., ventriloquist Jonathan Geffner will perform a show for all ages. A communal candle lighting with songs, dancing and a light meal will be held at 6:30 p.m. Both events are free and open to the public. Contact the Temple Israel office 516-482-7800 for more information.

The public is welcome to join Temple Israel of Great Neck for a no-fuss kosher Second Night of Passover Seder led by Associate Rabbi Daniel Schweber, which will feature the asking of questions, singing songs, discussing the story of Passover and dining like free people. Temple Israel of Great Neck will hold a Shabbat Sing Along in the Park at Jonathan L. Ielpi Firefighters Park from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m., led by Rabbis Amy Roth, Howard Stecker and Daniel Schweber. The festive, outdoor sing-along, geared toward families with children ages 8 and younger, will feature songs from Sara Shonfeld, dancing, challah, grape juice and other Shabbat treats.
