Figures And Flowers: Paintings And Multimedia
The Great Neck Library is exhibiting the work of Dr. Suzanne Posner from now through August 5 at our Main Library, 159 Bayview Avenue, Great Neck. Join us for a reception on Saturday, July 30 from 2 to 4 p.m.
Dr. Suzanne Posner is an award-winning sculptor and painter. Posner’s work can be found in private art collections throughout the United States and has been seen in numerous group and solo shows.
Figures and Flowers is an exhibit that vibrates with color. Suzanne almost always uses a live model for this work which originated when she decided to revisit paintings she completed in the 1990s. Some portraits she counter-proofed and some she embellished. Some pastel portraits were printed over watercolor flowers and reinforced with new pastel. See if you can spot the matches. Suzanne has included newer oils and acrylics in the same theme.
