Building on momentum from their inaugural summer event, the Great Neck Chinese Association (GNCA) and Temple Israel of Great Neck (TIGN) held a bowling event, called Mixing Bowl, at Herrill Lanes in New Hyde Park on Nov. 5. The goal of the afternoon event was to continue building friendships. More than 100 people of all ages attended, including a contingent of teenagers. Robin Fleishman said she enjoyed all of the smiles. Creative awards and trophies were given to all.

“It was a wonderful event where our two organizations could get to know each other in a fun and relaxing atmosphere. We look forward to having more gatherings and building stronger relationships within our Great Neck Community,” said Nathan Fong, GNCA copresident.

“I had a great time and enjoyed seeing lots of intergenerational and intercultural socialization,” added Rebecca Yousefzadeh Sassouni, president of Sephardic Heritage Alliance Inc. (SHAI) and Great Neck Public Schools Board of Education trustee. “It was a strike!”
