South Middle School sixth-graders were visited by four ambassadors from the Henry Viscardi School. The Albertson school meets the needs of children, pre-K through grade 12, who have severe disabilities. The presentation focused on disability awareness and showing students how they are all more alike than different. Students asked the ambassadors about their experiences before watching a demonstration of wheelchair basketball. The eighth-grade peer leaders then had lunch with the Viscardi ambassadors.
