The Sephardic Heritage Alliance Inc. (SHAI), in cooperation with Ahavat Shalom Synagogue, welcomes the community to a talk discussing The Power of Prevention and Reducing Cancer Risk Every Day on Tuesday, Nov. 17.
The event will feature Margaret I. Cuomo, MD, author of A World Without Cancer: The Making of a New Cure and the Real Promise of Prevention, a board-certified radiologist who served as an attending physician at North Shore University Hospital where much of her practice was dedicated to the diagnosis of AIDS and cancer. The daughter of the late Governor Mario Cuomo addresses groups and organizations throughout the country advocating for the prevention of cancer and other diseases.
Dr. Cuomo will be introduced by SHAI board member Farangiss Sedaghatpour, Rph and holistic consultant. The talk will begin at 7:30 p.m. in the Ahavat Shalom Ballroom at 130 Cutter Mill Rd.
