Continuing its 28-year tradition, the Rotary Club of Great Neck provided 1,100 families with complete Thanksgiving dinners this holiday season.
The Rotary Club raises funds throughout the year to purchase holiday supplies, so families in need can enjoy a festive celebration.
An assembly line of volunteers, including Assemblyman Anthony D’Urso, gathered together at the United States Merchant Marine Academy in Kings Point to fill bags with the items necessary to prepare a Thanksgiving meal.

The filled grocery bags were distributed to local food pantries, which then gave the bags to local families in need, who were able to celebrate Thanksgiving at home, surrounded by loved ones.
Generous community members sponsored this thoughtful effort with contributions of just $25 to provide food and leftovers for a family of six.
