In recognition of the retirement of Superintendent of the Great Neck Park District Peter Renick, on Wednesday, Dec. 16, Nassau County Legislator Ellen Birnbaum came down to the Parkwood Sports Complex to personally deliver her Citation of Excellence, congratulate him and wish him good luck. Renick was also recognized with citations from numerous other officials, including Assemblywoman Michelle Schimel; 
Senator Jack Martins; Town Supervisor Judi Bosworth; Council Members Anna Kaplan, Lee Seemen, Dina De Giorgio, Viviana Russell, Peter Zuckerman and Angelo Ferrara; Town Clerk Wayne Wink and Receiver of Taxes Charles Berman. After 43 plus years, Renick will be leaving the Park District for a well-deserved retirement at the end of the year. The Park District wishes him well, but said he will be greatly missed.
