Alice Morawetz passed away on Aug 1, 2022 at the age of 93. She was a Great Neck resident for many years.
Alice was born in Austria in the 1920’s when Vienna was a city of culture, art, music and sache torte. Life embodied an Austrian hue of gentility until the Nazis invaded on Kristallnacht. Her family eventually escaped, landing in NYC.
Alice’s life held historical tragedies, appreciation of nature and beauty, art and music, yoga and exercise, travel and meditation, family and friends. She is survived by her daughter Mindy Morawetz Myers, and grandchildren Talia and Jacob. She will live on in the hearts of those who loved her.
