Mary T. Reilly, a resident of Bethpage for 65 years, passed away on June 13, at the age of 95. Mary was born on Oct. 28, 1924 in Pittsburgh to John and Gertrude Bradley. She was raised in Brooklyn, before moving to Bethpage in 1955. Mary is now reunited in heaven with her beloved husband of 28 years, Edward F. Reilly. Loving mother of Edward J. Christopher John Hall, “CJ”, 39, of East Meadow passed away on June 15. A 15-year employee of Nassau University Medical Center where he dedicated his life to helping people, especially children. Beloved son of Glenn Hall and Patricia Hall. Loving brother of Elizabeth Hall (Vincent) and Catherine Hall. Adored “Uncle CJ” of Vivi and Cassie, who he loved like his own. Therese Ahern (McMurray), 95, lifelong resident of Farmingdale passed away at home with her family by her side on June 21. Tess was the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. George T. McMurray who settled in Farmingdale in 1922. She is survived by Jeremiah, her devoted husband of 70 years, and her beloved children, Jeremiah, Jr. (Laura), Mary Macchio (Frank), Susan Yskevich (Jeffery), Matthew (Diane), Patrick (Carlyn), Bernadette Bartolotto (Steven), Edward and Monica Lockwood (Bud). Joseph Vincent Belesi, of Farmingdale, a two-time Purple Heart recipient from the Vietnam War, retired Nassau County Police Sergeant, former Superior Officers Association Vice-President and Nassau County Legislator for the 14th District, passed away at the age of 73, on June 16, from Parkinson’s Disease. Joseph, predeceased by parents Joseph and Antonina, leaves behind his beloved wife, Donna; his children: Jennifer Belesi (James), Laurie McLaughlin (Robert) and Christopher Belesi (Caryn). A funeral mass was held at St. Kilian RC Church. Private interment followed at Calverton National Cemetery. Gary Craner of Glenwood Landing passed away on April 28, at age 77 after a courageous fight with his long illness. A dedicated teacher at North Shore High School for 38 years, often teaching the children of former students, he was also actively involved in athletics as a coach for baseball, bowling and cross country. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Genie, and his two children, son Garren (Carolyn) of Stamford, CT and daughter Gennifer (James) of Agoura Hills, CA. He cherished his grandchildren Alyssa and Kayla Craner and Justin and Gemma Milne and was the dear brother of Joan, Doug, Elizabeth, Muriel and the late Marilyn, and brother-in-law of Linda. A memorial service will be planned in the future at the Sea Cliff United Methodist Church. Details of the memorial service will be announced at a later date. Lorraine Emma Ripley, a 40-year Manhasset resident passed away peacefully on June 20. Funeral services were held at The Whitting Funeral Home in Sea Cliff and burial took place at Pinelawn Cemetery in Farmingdale. Lorraine met and married Thomas A. Ripley on June 24, 1951, and was married for 64 years until Thomas passed on July 2, 2015. Lorraine is survived by daughters Kim Horan and Lynn Lehane (Joseph) and has six grandchildren. Thomas, Karyn, Mary, Lauren, Kayley and Joe. And nine great grandchildren. Thomas, Addyson, Natalie, Jack, Emma, John, James, Aidan and Grayson.
