Maria Antonietta Santodonato “Dnito” “Antoinette”, 65, resident of Port Washington joined her father Vincenzo in paradise on July 10 after a brief, but formidable battle with cancer. Antonietta was born in Ceccano, Italy on Oct. 17, 1954 with her twin brother Phillip to Maddalena and Vincenzo Santodonato. The Santodonato family also includes her sister Stefanie, her husband Danny and their beloved son Erik, and Phillip’s wife Adrianna, and their three beloved children Edson, Braxon, and Angelique. When Antonietta became ill so many people became our extended family, but we want to give special thanks to her dear friends Susan Michaels and Kim Gutmann for their steadfast support to all of us, we may have lost one sister, but we are so blessed that we gained two more. Antonietta was laid to rest at Nassau Knolls Cemetery and our family chose St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital if you would like to make a donation in her honor.

Adrian Sokoloff, 99, died at home in Sands Point after a short illness on March 29. Predeceased by his loving wife and best friend, Thelma, and survived by his adoring daughters and their husbands; Karen Sokoloff and Andy Messinger, Claire Sokoloff and Rob Gifford, and Gail Sokoloff and Howard Merkowitz; and his eight devoted grandchildren: Rachel (Brian), Ben (Sydney), David, Alison (David), Eric, Danny, Alex, and Lia, all of whom called him Boppa. He is also survived by his great granddaughter, Talia, and by his brother Harold. Adrian and Thelma moved to their home in Sands Point in 1955.

Dolores M. Ellis, 96, of Westborough, passed away on July 15, at the Metrowest Medical Center in Framingham. She was the wife of the late Raymond W. Ellis. Born in Richmond Hill, she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Anna (Lang) Koelsch. Dolores was a former member of St. Aidan’s Church in Williston Park, and was a member of the Rosary Society. She has been a resident of Westborough for five years previously living in Albertson. She is survived by four children, Lawrence Ellis of Chelmsford, Colleen Perkins of Ithaca, Diane Paterline of Millsboro, DE, and Daniel Ellis of Holliston; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her brother Donald Koelsch. Her funeral Mass was held at St. Luke the Evangelist Church. Services were held at Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice.

Edna Mae Grudzinski, 94 of Bethpage passed away on June 20. Born in Hicksville, to Frederick and Wilhelmina Turner in 1926. Edna graduated from Hicksville High School. She was a proud member of the Grumman Retiree Club. Edna was also a dedicated parishioner at St. Martin of Tours RC Church, along with being member of the Young at Heart Club. Edna enjoyed crafting and bowling in her younger years. Beloved wife of 59 years to the late Peter Grudzinski, Sr. Loving mother of Alice Grudzinski, Laura Cohen (Mark), the late Peter Grudzinski, Jr. (Janet) and the late Diane Grudzinski.
