The Great Neck North High School spring sports season has come to an end.

The Great Neck Boys Golf Team, led by Coach Millevoi, had a memorable year. At the beginning of the season, the team was having some struggles and started off 0-3. However, the players turned the game around quickly and beat Friends Academy for their first win in two years. With this momentum, they beat the top-seeded Syosset golf team for another win.

The golf team members were complete underdogs, but senior captain Raymond Gresalfi played amazingly. The team was able to get another win against Friends Academy for three straight wins. This was the first three-game winning streak in three years.

Though team members Raymond Gresalfi, Luke Huang, Dylan Solomon, Zach Ziegler, Jaren Solomon, Hans Dewitt, Jeffrey Ma, Michael Forstner, Chris Gould, Vincent Huang and Bruce Huang played great this season, unfortunately, the record ended as 3-8 overall.

Following the first season in many years where the Great Neck High School Boys Golf Team won multiple matches, three golfers qualified to play and compete in the Nassau County tournament, which brings together the top 100 players across Nassau County. The top 30 will qualify to play a second day and the top 10 will advance to play at Cornell University for the New York State Championships.

Congratulations to golfers Gresalfi, Luke Huang and Solomon, who played in the counties at the Eisenhower Park Golf Course.

The Great Neck North Varsity Baseball Team also had a good season this spring. The team started with a three-game winning streak, but had to adapt as the JV and varsity teams were combined. During the season, sophomore Matthew Heimowitz was the starter on the varsity team and had a strong season. His offensive and defensive abilities kept the Blazers in close games, with his glove at third base and his bat at the plate.

Solomon Hackman showed a strong senior leadership and was always helping the team win. At the end of the season, the Blazers had a 7-7 record.

The Great Neck North Varsity Tennis Team, coached by Michael Kazin, had a great season. Tim Lee, Josh Rothbaum, Aaron Geula, Damian Chafe, Jeremy Ahdoot and Kyle Kamali made it to the county championship.

Lee, Rothbaum, Geula and Chafe were named All-County tennis players.

Lee and Geula also earned All-Division honors for winning 75 percent of their matches.

Luke Hakimian was commended as All-Conference.

Congratulations on a fantastic season.
