At 2:30 p.m. today, Monday, Jan. 11, the deceased body of Stella Y. Lee, 22, was located by an officer of the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) in a wooded area of a Suffolk County park.
According to detectives, on Saturday, Jan. 9, Lee’s vehicle was located in the parking lot of Caumsett State Park in Lloyd Harbor by a park employee. A continuous intensive search of the area then commenced.
The Nassau County Police Department Missing Persons Squad said Lee was last seen on Thursday, Jan. 7, at 3:27 a.m. leaving her Great Neck residence in her white 2012 Honda and that she was possibly suicidal.
The investigation, which continues at this time, has determined that no criminality was involved.
