North Middle School and South Middle School hosted their annual Relay Field Day events in support of the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life campaign. Relay Field Day is a culminating event that wraps up a year-long effort to increase awareness about cancer and raise funds in support of a cure.

Relay Field Day is coordinated by the Relay for Life committees at each middle school in collaboration with other student organizations, physical education departments, and parent-teacher associations. Students and staff come together for games, dunk tanks and physical activities, while showing their support for this very worthy cause.
The American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life movement is the world’s largest peer-to-peer fundraising event dedicated to saving lives from cancer. The Great Neck middle schools’ long-standing participation has raised thousands of dollars in support of cancer research, services for cancer patients, access to cancer screenings and more.
