Man Arrested For Making Threats To Kings Point PD

The Sixth Squad reports the arrest of a Rockaway Park man for an incident that occurred on Thursday, May 20, at 10:31 p.m. in Kings Point.

According to Detectives, the Kings Point Police Department received a phone call from the defendant, Michael Mortman, 61, of Rockaway Park. During this phone call the defendant made a verbal threat to blow up the Kings Point Police Department. After a thorough investigation Sixth Precinct Detectives were able to locate the defendant and place him under arrest without incident.

The defendant, Michael Mortman, has been charged with Making a Terroristic Threat and Aggravated Harassment 2nd Degree. He was arraigned on Monday, May 31 in Mineola.
