North High School’s Junior Players will present one of Shakespeare’s early comedies Love’s Labour’s Lost, on Thursday, April 7, and Friday, April 8, at 7:30 p.m., and on Saturday, April 9, at 2 and 7:30 p.m. All performances will be held in the school auditorium at 35 Polo Rd.
Love’s Labour’s Lost follows the King of Navarre and his three companions as they attempt to forswear the company of women for three years of study and fasting. Foiling their plans is their subsequent infatuation with the Princess of France and her ladies. The play draws on themes of love and desire, reckoning and rationalization, and reality versus fantasy.
