Letter To The Editor: Hunger Is Real

While many of us are thinking about how to enjoy our summer vacations, many children in our area are wondering about breakfast and lunch. Now that schools are closed, the breakfast and lunch programs that so many children rely on are closed, too.

Fortunately, their needs are not forgotten. The INN’s 14 soup kitchens across Nassau and Suffolk Counties are dedicated to serving quality, nutritious meals to every child who comes to their doors during June, July, August and September.

Please consider helping The INN to help all these children. Your donation—in whatever amount you can afford—supports children, families, senior citizens, veterans and anyone else who has fallen on hard times and needs a plate of kindness and the nourishment of knowing someone cares.

Please send your donations to The INN, Att.: Dave Golbert, 211 Fulton St., Hempstead, NY 11550. Checks should be made payable to The INN.

“Blessed are those who share with those who have less.”
