I attended a performance of Die Fledermaus, a light opera written by Johann Strauss, at the Great Neck South High School on Saturday, April 13.
It was hard to believe that these talented high school students were acting and singing roles with a school orchestra that otherwise would be performed by Metropolitan Opera professionals. Bravo to the Great Neck Public Schools for producing such an accomplished and entertaining event open to all residents.
