A Friend Of Judi Bosworth

Over the last decade I have worn many hats in the Great Neck community and after husband, father and grandfather, the one I am most proud of is “friend” of Judi Bosworth. My relationship with Judi began as I started to get involved within the community on a volunteer basis. One of the first acquaintances I made was Judi Bosworth. We met at a CLASP dinner in Lake Success. I can still tell you what she wore because, in her usual style, she was a lady who owned the room without saying a word. As time went on and our paths crossed more frequently, I learned first hand what this woman was about – the community, and how she could help.

What Judi Bosworth stands for are some of the most important issues of our time and, more importantly for the future of our children and grandchildren. Just look at her record! Judi has sponsored the Green Procurement Law, she has fought for reducing the impact that plastic bags have on our environment and is working with the Suffolk Legislature on the Long Island aquifers and the quality of our drinking water. Judi was responsible for the Udalls Mill Pond Remediation Project and the Middle Neck Road drainage project. The latter project was a bipartisan effort which resulted in County Executive Ed Mangano formally acknowledging and praising Judi’s work. That public recognition was a clear message to everyone, regardless of political affiliation, that Judi believes in doing what’s best for all of us.

Judi’s commitment to the community is evident in all the programs she has instituted in our district and as town supervisor she will positively impact all of the people of North Hempstead because Judi gives of herself, expecting nothing in return. Integrity, honesty and compassion are three qualities that come to mind immediately when talking about Judi Bosworth and the time is now to put these qualities to work for us.

Jon Kaiman is credited, and rightly so, with creating some tremendous projects during his time as supervisor. It is now Judi Bosworth’s time to solidify these programs and bring them to the next level while introducing her own vision for the future. Judi will hear everyone’s concerns and opinions and provide the collective “voice” needed to get the job done now. I am giving Judi Bosworth my vote for the next supervisor of the Town of North Hempstead, confident that she will represent us all. Judi will be my voice and your voice, our one true voice as the next supervisor of the Town of North Hempstead.
