The annual meeting marking the 71st anniversary of the atomic bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki that was held on Aug. 3 at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation at Shelter Rock (UUCSR) will be shown on Great Neck/North Shore PATV’s Channel 20 on Cablevision and Channel 37 on Verizon beginning on Sunday, Aug. 28, at 9 p.m. and Tuesday, Aug. 30, and will continue through September.

The program, dedicated to the memory of Father Daniel Berrigan, priest, poet and anti-nuclear and anti-war activist, features his poetry, a film, exciting speakers, music by the a capella women’s group Willow and action calling for the abolition of nuclear weapons and for U.S. freezing the trillion-dollar modernization of nuclear weapons.

Sponsors of the event include Great Neck SANE/Peace Action, LI Alliance for Peaceful Alternatives and the Social Justice Committee of the UUCSR.
