Two years ago, the Great Neck recreation program started a youth wrestling program, called The Outlaws, open to all district students in grades 3 through 8. In order to develop interest in the program, The Outlaws will host an open house at Saturday from noon to 2 p.m. in the east gym at Great Neck South High School led by by Ryan Pingitore and Jesse DiLevo, the varsity head and assistant coaches of the Great Neck South Wrestling Team, as well as Nick Belitsis and Anthony Lanzilotta, coaches of the Outlaws and alumni of South High Wrestling. Current wrestlers from South High will also be assisting.

Practices for The Outlaws program will begin on Tuesday, Sept. 17 and run Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:30-8 p.m. in the wrestling room at South High until May 14. Registration and payment for the yearlong Great Neck Youth Wrestling program can take place at the open house or through the Great Neck Recreation Department.
