With a 3-0 victory over Mineola on Oct. 15, the Great Neck South Lady Rebels secured a conference championship and a berth in the Nassau County High School A Division playoffs.

The Lady Rebels went undefeated in conference play. However, the final game was not without pressure as Lady Rebels entered the contest knowing that a victory on the final day of the regular season was needed to maintain their lead in the standings over their cross-town rival, the Great Neck North Lady Blazers, who lost only once in conference play.
