Carla Silva recently opened the eponymous Carla’s SkinCare Studio at 45 Middle Neck Rd., Suite 224, to provide top skin-care services to the community. The licensed aesthetician’s specialties are in PhotoFacials—also known as Intense Pulsed Light or IPL, laser hair removal and chemical peels.
“Treatments and products are custom tailored,” noted Silva. “We can plan a treatment program that will deliver the results you expect and leave your skin and complexion glowing.”
Silva brings 22 years of experience in the field to the peninsula. More than two decades ago, she received extensive training in IPL and other medical-grade skin treatments, which can be used to diminish acne scarring, destroy acne bacteria, heal broken capillaries, treat rosacea and improve overall skin texture.
In 2008, the aesthetician opened her own spa part time in Mineola, while also working in a dermatologist’s office on Park Avenue in New York City.
During her many years of work, she has trained nurses, medical assistants and other aestheticians. From her years of experience, she knows what she can and can’t do using her equipment.
The decision to open a studio in Great Neck Plaza was simple for Silva. Though she grew up in Mineola, she always loved coming to Great Neck and enjoyed the many attractions here.
“When I was looking for a new space, I absolutely fell in love with the decor…the office suites…and decided to move to Great Neck,” said Silva.
She looks forward to bringing her knowledge and skills to the Great Neck community and providing services in IPL and laser treatments.
