Bus will be offering free health screenings to
seniors throughout North Hempstead in 2016.
Town of North Hempstead residents can receive free health screenings from Project Independence, the town’s innovative aging-in-place initiative, which is once again partnering with St. Francis Hospital’s Community Outreach Program.
“Project Independence is a wonderful program that assists our seniors in so many important ways,” said Supervisor Judi Bosworth. “By offering these screenings at multiple locations throughout the town, we are providing easier access to high-quality health care.”
The screenings, which will be offered at the St. Francis Outreach Bus, will include a brief cardiac history, blood pressure screening, a simple blood test for cholesterol and diabetes screening.
