If I could make 10 cents for every traffic violation—illegal U-turns, running stop signs, not stopping for school buses loading and unloading children and more—I’d be a very wealthy person.
If I could make 10 cents for each piece of trash on the main streets of Great Neck, I’d be a really wealthy person.
Do storekeepers and homeowners have no pride in keeping the front of their shops and homes free of garbage? Do people totally not care about pedestrians walking, children on bicycles or elderly people trying to get across the street?
I might be hated for all the tickets and fines I’d give out, but I think our town and villages would be a better, cleaner and a safer place for all.
