“I am Donald Panetta and it is with tremendous pleasure and great pride that I announce that I am a candidate to replace Monique Bloom as a trustee on the Great Neck School Board.

My wife, Lori, and I have lived in New Hyde Park for almost 30 years. Our children, Eric and Marissa, are both graduates of Great Neck South High School. They have both received their master’s degrees and are working in their chosen careers.

I received a BS in accounting from Quinnipiac College as well as an MBA from Adelphi University.

For many years, I was a financial and sales analyst for a large cosmetic company, and am now selling residential real estate in northwest Nassau County.

In addition to being a member of the Lakeville Civic Association, I am also an assistant scoutmaster in Troop 10 of Great Neck, treasurer of the Brotherhood of Temple Tikvah of New Hyde Park, a member of the Clinton G. Martin Pool Advisory Committee and a member of the Great Neck Library Nominating Committee. Besides these positions, I am also a member of the Great Neck Memorial Day Parade committee and an Eagle Scout advisor in the Shelter Rock District, Boy Scouts of America.

I am ready to listen to your concerns and quickly act on them. As a member of the Great Neck School Board, I will talk with parents and not lose touch with their needs. I am firmly rooted in my community, fiscally responsible and am not afraid to say no when necessary. As someone who has the best interest of the community in mind—the community that has given so much to my family and me over the years—please rest assured that I will work tirelessly to continue to provide that kind of quality education to our residents.”
