Sixth Squad detectives are investigating a burglary that occurred on Thursday, October 22, at 12 pm in Great Neck.
According to detectives, while asleep in his bedroom at a Westminster Road home, the 26-year-old male was awoken by footsteps and noise coming from his parent’s adjacent bedroom. Upon walking into that bedroom, the 26-year-old observed two unknown male Hispanics, one with a screwdriver in his hand. The startled subjects then fled passed him and exited the house. They were then seen entering a white SUV, being operated by another, bearing an unknown license plate number. The vehicle was last seen heading southbound on Westminster Road.
The uninjured male further described the subjects as both being approximately 40 years old, 5’4” to 5’6” tall, both wearing dark colored pants, dark colored sweatshirts and ski masks covering their faces. It is believed that the subjects entered the home through an unlocked door. No loss of property was reported.
