The Town of North Hempstead’s Building Department will be hosting a set of evening hours in the community, as well as an educational series, What to Know Before Buying or Selling a Home.

The mobile hours will enable residents to meet with the applicant advocate and the Mobile Building Department, and have their application questions answered. Bring along any relevant information or documentation.

Mobile hours will run from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 13, at Hillside Public Library, 155 Lakeville Rd. in New Hyde Park, and Tuesday, Sept. 20, at Manhasset Public Library at 30 Onderdonk Ave.

What to Know Before Buying or Selling a Home will explain which permits and certificates you’ll need to close the sale of your home, and will take place on Thursday, Sept. 29, at 7 p.m. at Manhasset Public Library and on Tuesday, Oct. 4, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Hillside Public Library.
