Four high school students were winners in the Long Island Language Teachers 2016 American Sign Language (ASL) Contest.
From North High School, Adir Vegon won First Place and Michelle Nissan received Honorable Mention.
South High’s Jillian Horowitz was Second Place and Danielle Kraes received Honorable Mention.
Kathy McAleer is the ASL teacher at North and South high schools.
