The Great Neck Chinese Association (GNCA) and Organization of Chinese Americans–Long Island Chapter (OCA–LI) is cohosting a free program for high school students—APA Y–Advocate (Asian Pacific American Youth Leadership Training) on Saturday, Dec. 12, in Great Neck from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event has already been fully registered.
What is an APA Y-Advocate? A half-a-day program focused on the development of APA youth in our communities.
• Students will develop leadership skills.
• Students will build a growing relationship with the OCA local chapter.
• Students will gain awareness of social justice issues.
• Students will have an understanding of why it’s important to advocate.
