The Great Neck Alert Fire Company is currently accepting donations to help the victims of Hurricanes Maria, Harvey and Irma. They have already collected and donated almost 1,000 pounds of nonperishable food items and water to Island Harvest, a hunger-relief organization that distributes the donations.
“We sincerely appreciate the generosity and outpouring of support that has come from the community to aid in the hurricane relief efforts,” said James Neubert, chief of the Alert Fire Company. “As the aftermath of these hurricanes continue to take their toll, we will continue to accept donations to assist those in need.”
Donations of water and nonperishable food items are being accepted at the Alert Fire Company’s headquarters at 555 Middle Neck Rd. For more information, call 516-487-1057.
