Woman Knocked Unconscious In Thanksgiving 3-Car Crash


A serious auto accident involving three cars occurred in Lake Success at 11:49 p.m. on Thanksgiving night, according to Nassau County Homicide Squad detectives.

While traveling westbound on the Long Island Expressway at exit 32, a 2003 Acura SUV stopped in the lane and was rear ended by a 2001 Acura, which was then rear ended by a 2010 Toyota on Thursday, Nov. 24. The unrestrained 43-year-old female passenger, in the back seat of the Toyota was thrust forward, impacted the interior of the car and was rendered unconscious.

She was transported to a local hospital and is listed in serious condition. No other injuries were reported.

Detectives report no apparent criminality, though all three vehicles were impounded at the scene for brake and safety inspections.
