Great Neck/North Shore Public Access Television (PATV) employees were welcomed at Town Hall on Thursday, Dec. 17, by North Hempstead Supervisor Judi Bosworth, who thanked them for participating in the town’s 2015 Veterans Donation Drive. The drive was a joint effort between the Bosworth, the town board and the Veterans Advisory Committee, created to help give back to those who served our country, making it easy for residents to help contribute to the cause.

On Dec. 19, Bosworth, Town Clerk Wayne Wink, and Council Members Peter Zuckerman and Anna Kaplan, joined the town’s Veterans Advisory Committee as they delivered more than 100 boxes of personal care items, clothing and more, to the Northport Veterans Affairs (VA) Medical Center as part of the 2nd Annual Town of North Hempstead Veterans Donation Drive.

This year’s donations were provided with assistance from local Boy Scout troops, Great Neck/North Shore Public Access Television, St. Mary’s School in Manhasset, North Shore University hospital employees and many anonymous donors.

The town’s Veterans Advisory Committee came up with the idea for the drive last year, and this year’s donations were nearly double.
