St. Al’s Girls Basketball Team Earns First Place

The Saint Aloysius CYO eighth-grade girls basketball team brought home first-place trophies for the second consecutive year at the Saint Vincent de Paul Tournament. “It was an amazing team effort by every player, and watching them grow as individual athletes has been an inspiration,” said coaches John Roggendorf, Oscar Corrales and Craig Solomon of team members Samantha Bressler, Gia Corrales, Noa Fisher, Emily Gal, Simin Mavani, Amber Roggendorf, Sydney Solomon, Julie Tanenblatt and Julia Zalta. “Throughout the years these girls have matured and shown incredible sportsmanship abilities and an uncanny desire to learn and work hard to achieve success,” they continued. “Hats off to the eighth-grade girls CYO basketball team.”girlsbasketball
