South High Takes First Place In Science Olympiad

SchoolOlympiad_021716.ASouth High School’s Science Olympiad Team A took first place at the 2016 New York State Science Olympiad, Nassau West Regional, competing against 35 other teams, and will advance to the state competition. Team A medaled in almost all 23 competitive events, ranging from Air Trajectory to Write It Do It. Team coaches are science teachers Abby-Jo Brighton, Sepideh Roozdar and Dr. James Truglio. Members from South’s three Olympiad teams are pictured.
