School District Retirees Recognized

The Great Neck Public Schools Board of Education and professional associations representing teachers, administrators and civil service staff recognized 36 retirees from 2015–16.

Terry Hood is retiring as the district’s business services director. For more, see “Hood Honored.”

Retiring teachers are Alisa Altabef and Andrew Berlin from Parkville; Bonnie Bleck, Robert Vigus and Lynn Kelly from North Middle; Debra Cruz, Eileen McPartland and Linda Dragunat from South High; Sheila Henchy, Eileen Mangiacapre, Claudia Re, Rhonda Rieger and Gail Keyes from South Middle; Donna Peirez, David Graham and Dina Siegel from Lakeville; and Jill Rubin and Adria Salmon from Saddle Rock.

Retiring office staff are Kathleen Daly from North Middle; Vincent DeLucia, Catherine McAlynn and Louise Millevoi from Phipps; and Dorothy Mogenis and Antonina Sciacca from North High.

Paraprofessionals who are retiring are Roberta Begel from South Middle; Joan Correll from Baker; Barbara Eisenberg from Kennedy; Anne Flood from Saddle Rock; Gail Heifetz and Sophia Mazurkiewicz from Parkville; and Leopoldine Jacklitsch from transportation.

Michelle Albarella from South High and Clotilde Morelli from North High are retiring from Food Services, and Francis Marchesano from North Middle and Cindy Weber from South Middle are retiring from Buildings & Grounds, Maintenance.
