PATV’s Shirley Ann Bruno Honored By Women In Media

In recognition of Women’s History Month, Shirley Ann Bruno, executive director emeritus of PATV, was an honoree of The League of Women Voters of Nassau County at the Women in Media luncheon at Verdi’s of Westbury on Sunday, March 13.

The keynote speaker was Joye Brown, Newsday columnist. Bruno was joined by fellow nominees Angela Susan Anton, publisher of Anton Media Group, and Silvana Diaz, publisher and editor of Noticia Long Island.

Bruno will also be recognized on Saturday, March 19, at the 59th Annual NY Emmy Awards, where she will hopefully take home the statue. She was nominated for the category Military: Program for the story “Our Veterans Stories: Vietnam—Welcome Home.” Bruno was the producer; Steve Tagg, associate producer; Erica Bradley, director; and Marcelo Mendez, editor.
