Village of Kensington Police Chief Michael Conlon is retiring after more than 30 years on the job.

On the evening of March 16, a party was held for him at village hall, which residents were invited to attend. Conlon was presented with proclamations for his exemplary service by Kensington Mayor Susan Lopatkin and, on behalf of the Town of North Hempstead, Village of Kensington resident Councilwoman Anna Kaplan.
