First-half 2017 General Tax payments are due and can be paid by mail, online or in person. Mailed payments must be postmarked by the U.S. Postal Service on or before Feb. 10 to avoid a penalty. If mailing your payment on or just before the due date, have your envelope hand stamped to ensure a timely postmark.

Online payments may be made by check through your bank (schedule at least 10 days prior to the deadline and include your bill number, section, block and lot) or credit card (for a processing rate of 2.35 percent) at www.northhempsteadny.gov.
