Another Pedestrian Hit On Middle Neck Road


A young pedestrian was hit on Middle Neck Road this morning, Monday, June 19, at 8:10 a.m., according to the Nassau County Police Department Homicide Squad.

According to detectives, a 22-year-old woman was crossing South Middle Neck Road from east to west when she was struck by a vehicle traveling north on South Middle Neck Road.

The 45-year-old male driver remained at the scene of the accident.

The woman was transported to a local hospital and is listed in serious condition.

The Homicide Squad is investigating the accident.

    My question is-Why is the homicide department investigating a case such as this where the person has not died nor is expected to?
