9/11 Memorial Service At Mary Jane Davies Green


The Town of North Hempstead will be holding a memorial service on Sunday, Sept. 11, at 8 a.m. at Mary Jane Davies Green, located on Plandome Road, Manhasset, across the street from Town Hall. The service will be open to the public.

“The ceremony serves to provide all who endured the tragedy of September 11 an opportunity to reflect upon its impact and remember those we lost that day,” said Town Clerk Wayne Wink.

“During this memorial service, we gather as a community to honor and recognize those who lost their lives 15 years ago, including the 56 individuals from our North Hempstead family,” said Supervisor Judi Bosworth.

Serving over 222,000 people, the Town of North Hempstead’s governing body is headed by the Town Supervisor Judi Bosworth and six Town Board members: Viviana Russell, Peter Zuckerman, Angelo Ferrara, Anna Kaplan, Lee Seeman and Dina De Giorgio. The town clerk is Wayne Wink and the receiver of taxes is Charles Berman.
